SOLD - Outstanding 'Original Hanau' Hohen Sonne/High Sun lamp

This belter is an early Original Hannau model from the 1920s, rotates 360 degrees, and is fully posable. It is a wonderfully over-designed Bauhaus lamp in original vintage condition. It has been rewired with 3-core black flex, a new plug, and PAT tested. A heavy black cast-iron base with a black central grille and beige handle, foot and reflector in aluminium with a Bakelite switch and orientation dial. On the shade are some beautiful metal branding plates and warning signs - Vorsicht! Augen Schutzen! Which translates as: Be Careful! Protect your eyes! Don't worry, it's not a Sun lamp anymore! Quite a rare and desirable lamp, in my opinion. I've left it in its original condition with a lovely patina showing signs of its 100 years of service.
